Bamlak Tesafy is a 5 year old girl who was born with bilateral cleft lip and palate. She lives in Addis Ababa with her parents. At 6 months old, her lip and palate were repaired at a different hospital. However, she visited Yekatit 12 Hospital in 2011 because of an alveolar fistula. The team decided to proceed with a fistula repair. She has been receiving speech therapy and the family has since enrolled Bamlak in kindergarten.
Kalkidan Abayne is a 3 year from Addis Ababa. Bothe her lip and palate were repaired at Yekatit 12 Hospital. She is attending speech therapy.
