Since TF’s inception in 1999, basic project statistics – both quantitative and qualitative – have been collected for the purpose of monitoring the effectiveness of programs in the field and communicating success to donors and stakeholders.
However, in recent years, we’ve identified monitoring and evaluation (M&E) as an area requiring review and improvement.
In 2011, TF conducted a survey amongst our partners to find out some more about their current M&E and data management practices.
Our M&E project is a major initiative that will enable projects to improve work flow processes, follow up with patients and undertake research to analyze the needs of cleft patients. We will be piloting the M&E project with our South American partners and then replicating the experience with our other partners.
Stay tuned for more from this exciting project!
