Transform a Life Today
The impact of your charitable giving has never been greater.
While many children can access care such as speech therapy, counselling and nutritional support remotely, many more are waiting on growing patient lists to receive the in-person care they need to thrive in their communities.
Join Transforming Faces’ Circle of Cleft Care today by making a one-time gift or by joining Bright Start as a monthly donor.
When you support Transforming Faces, we direct 100% of your gift to children and families across Asia, Africa and the Americas in need of comprehensive cleft lip and palate care thanks to a private foundation which supports TF’s administrative costs.

Our Work During COVID 19
There is no question that the pandemic has been extraordinarily disruptive.
In many countries, cleft surgeries have been delayed or limited in number as a safety precaution. Lockdowns and safety protocols have made it more difficult for families to make ends meet, and it can be difficult for families to travel from villages to the nearest cleft centre.
Fortunately, our approach to comprehensive cleft lip and palate isn’t dependent upon international travel. Our intrepid local partners wake up each day seeking innovative ways to continue to support patients and families, even amidst intense Covid restrictions.
We have seen an inspiring increase in the use and impact of mobile phone-based teletherapy for speech therapy, feeding support, and counselling. Our partners are also managing a return to in-person treatment where it is safe to do so, with all the attendant Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and protocols.
From Toronto, our team has continued to ensure that our partners feel well-supported in every twist and turn of this difficult year. We were proud and delighted that so many of our partners shared their Covid19 expertise and experiences at the first global Comprehensive Cleft Care online conference, which the TF team and our international allies mounted this fall.
As the pandemic unfolds, TF continues to work closely with our partners in Asia, Africa and the Americas. Our shared vision of excellent treatment and full inclusion into society for every child inspires creativity, tenacity, and collaboration, as we navigate each hurdle Covid puts in our way.
