The Photography Clinic was meant to improve ties between parents and their children with cleft lip and palate. In some countries,  parents do not often have the ability or desire to photograph their babies due to the suspicions and shame associated with cleft.

One dad commented, “I thought that no one wanted to see my child, so I hid those pictures.”  Now, the parents are being encouraged to take photos with their children and to display them.

KusiRostros hope to achieve a healthy attachment between parents and children, so that the children can grow up a bit more confident and happy.

On a recent trip to Peru, the TF staff was able to see the Photography clinic in action. Pictured: KusiRostros’ Luana Solanch Valerio Lopez with a mom and her baby taking part in a photography session.
