As we mark over a quarter-century of impact, we celebrate that our founding insight now resonates globally: that all children born with cleft deserve full rehabilitative care—and that local teams are best positioned to provide it.

That there aren’t skilled cleft professionals
in low- and middle-income countries.
We partner only with trusted local teams, because they know their communities best and can provide year-round care.
That NGOs compete,

We believe in collaboration, not competition, because the impact of Comprehensive Cleft Care is amplified when we come together.
That NGO funding doesn’t directly reach the children.
We hold ourselves to the highest standards of accountability, both financial and programmatic.
That NGOs spend too much on fundraising.
At Transforming Cleft, a private foundation covers all our non-program costs, so every dollar you give goes directly to cleft care.
That a single surgery is all that matters.
But at Transforming Cleft, we prioritize children’s full rehabilitation and inclusion in the community.
