Mission-Esteban-with-Yeabsra-2011

Dear friends,

I would like to share some important, personal news. After nearly 15 years serving as Transforming Faces’ Executive Director, I have made the very difficult personal decision to step down and return to my home in Ecuador to care for my mother who is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

Since 2000, I have had the immense pleasure of supporting this organization as it has grown and evolved to ensure children and adults born with cleft lip and palate have access to long-term, sustainable care around the world.

I am very proud of what we have accomplished and feel very fortunate to have worked with such a wonderful team of staff, partners, volunteers, donors and friends. To everyone who helped make this such a positive journey – thank you!

TF’s Board of Directors is currently hard at work searching for my replacement with support from a recruitment firm. The new Executive Director is expected to start effective January 1, 2016. To assist in this process, please free to share the job posting with anyone you think might be the right fit for our team.

Please accept my sincerest thanks for all of your support, commitment and energy over the years. Transforming Faces has truly felt like a family to me and that is thanks to all of you.

Should you have any questions about this transition, please feel free to get in touch with me at elasso@transformingfaces.org. For questions about the job posting, please contact Deborah Legrove at deborah@crawfordconnect.com.

Sincerely,
